Katie Boag

I am Academic Clinical Fellow in General Surgery in Yorkshire, and I aspire to specialise in Colorectal Surgery. I hold a particular interest in the impact of surgery and healthcare on the environment, and am keen to progress sustainable surgical practices. Our Team from Leeds Teaching Hospitals recently won the National Green Surgery Challenge for our entry demonstrating a sustainable appendicectomy. Since then we have pioneered this pathway and continue to make changes to ensure we minimise the impact of our profession on the environment.
