My interest in global health stems from time spent in public healthcare systems in Thailand and Tanzania, where I encountered some of the challenges faced by healthcare providers and patients in low- and middle-Income countries (LMICs). I look forward to working with the GASOC team and members to increase sustainable exchanges across borders, promote equitable access to safe surgery and build on collaborations with LMIC partners.
