Marta is a General Surgeon, Breast and Endocrine Surgeon based in St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and She is a Fellow of East Central, Southern Africa College of Surgeons.She is dedicated to advocating for global surgery and improving healthcare access for underserved populations. Marta has involved in different community health services and in training healthcare professionals. She is actively involved in international and local organisations to promote breast cancer care in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Ghana. In 2024, she joined GASOC as an International Surgical Representative and aims to increase the engagement of trainees from low- and middle-income countries in global surgery activities.
