Piero Alberti
Paediatric Surgery
London
My name is Piero and I am an FY2 at King's College Hospital in London, doing an SFP in Academic Paediatrics. My main research interest is in global surgery, looking in particular at strengthening systems for paediatric surgical care in LMICs. I am currently working with the global surgery groups in Oxford and King's to develop multi-centre studies looking at management of emergency paediatric surgery and congenital anomalies in Sub-Saharan Africa. I'll be applying for CST later this year, after which I'll probably look at joining a PhD programme on global paediatric surgery research.
