FRONTLINE GLOBAL SURGERY CONFERENCE

RCSI COVID 2.png

We will be running a VIRTUAL HACKATHON which you can register and take part in using Microsoft teams in small groups to innovate around the unmet need:

"How can we improve LMIC hospital readiness for the outbreak?"

What is a hackathon?

The idea of a hackathon is that people from a diverse range of disciplines come together to tackle a common problem. In healthcare this can involve doctors, allied health professionals, scientists, engineers, business people, product designers and patients.

Hackathons provide a space to facilitate collaborative working and innovative thinking, there are no particular rules or limits, in fact, we want you to think freely!

In this virtual hackathon, attendees were placed in a team with people from different backgrounds from around the world and had around 45 mins to discuss their ideas to tackle the unmet need.

All teams then nominated a spokesperson to present their ideas to the conference!

THE HACKATHON AT FGS 2020 WAS A MASSIVE SUCCESS AND WE WANT TO THANK ALL THOSE THAT TOOK PART!
