Obstetric Rep - UK

Hannah Raval
Obs & Gynae
Wales
I'm an O&G ST1 in Cardiff, with an interest in Global Women's Health and Refugee Health.
This was first sparked in medical school during trips to Uganda and Malawi, helping to run mobile outreach clinics.
I have since done the LSTM Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene, following which I worked in a rural hospital in South Africa in Family Planning & Paediatrics. Prior to this I volunteered with a medical charity providing primary health care for refugees on the Greek island Samos, with a particular focus on running women's health workshops.
Alongside my training I am undertaking an HEE Improving Global Health Fellowship, mostly looking at the effects of Mother's Shelters on maternal outcomes in rural Zambia.
I look forward to being part of GASOC committee!
