Will Bolton
Surgery
Will Bolton is an Academic Foundation Doctor and PhD candidate, recently completing an NIHR Clinical Research Fellowship in the Global Health Research Group Surgical Technologies in Leeds. His research interests include the innovation and evaluation of novel surgical technology, its applications to low-resource settings and clinical trial design in Global Surgery. He works with the NIHR Surgical MedTech Cooperative as Co-Founder of the affiliated student and early career medtech innovation collaborative called the MedTech Foundation, where he delivers innovation training and research internships. He is the Global Anaesthesia, Surgery and Obstetric Collaboration (GASOC) Innovation and Technology Lead where he works to promote global innovation training and frugal innovation for healthcare technologies. He is Innovation Lead for the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) Innovation Lead supported by BBraun UK and the Neurology and Neurosurgery Interest Group (NANSIG) and the where he develops opportunities for trainees to gain experience in surgical innovation and neuroscience.
