Ted Watts is a UK trained Colorectal Surgeon from Nottingham. For the last 6 years he has worked in a district hospital in rural Madagascar providing remote and rural surgery for a large area of the north of the island. He is the program director of the hospital’s recently opened surgical training program, which trains Malagasy junior doctors to FCS level with PAACS (The Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons) and COSECSA (The College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa). His current practice includes general surgery in all its generality with a particular interest in urology and vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistula repair.
