Dr John Afam-Osemene is a 4th-year Anaesthesia trainee in Nigeria, with a burning passion for Social media and Global Surgery.

He is very involved with international research and networking. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of the ARD FMC Asaba Journal, and the Anaesthesia Lead of the Surgery Interest Group of Africa (SIGAF).

He is a member of the West African College of Surgeons and is very popular on Twitter at @drjohnafam, with over 20,000 followers, where he provides information and guidance to early-career doctors in Nigeria.
