Simon Lambracos

I am a core surgical trainee in Wessex with an interest in general and vascular surgery. I have spent the last 2 years in New Zealand where I founded the GASOC NZ group which focuses on global surgery education and advocacy with a view to improving surgical outcomes in the Pacific islands region. My drive to improve education was typified in a multi centre study in the U.K. that I led as an FY2 looking into junior doctor awareness of global surgery, the results of which were presented at GASOC and ASiT conferences in 2018. I am excited to now be part of the GASOC committee and look forward to building on this experience with the rest of the team.

We are a trainee-led group of anaesthetists, surgeons and obstetricians promoting trainee involvement, education and research in low and middle income countries.
